I. Basic Information
Location: Located in the middle of Lashi Dam in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, about 8 kilometers from the ancient city of Lijiang.
Area: The wetland area covers 3,560 hectares, consisting of three sections: Lashi Hai, Wen Hai, and Jizi Reservoir. In 2004, Lashi Hai was included in the list of internationally important wetlands and became the first nature reserve named after “wetland” in Yunnan Province.

Altitude: The lake surface is at an elevation of approximately 2,437 meters, making it one of the higher-altitude lakes in Yunnan Province.
Water Area: The surface area of the water covers 71.1 square kilometers, with a depth of about 4.5 meters, making it one of the larger plateau lakes in Yunnan.
Climate Characteristics: Lashi Hai is located in a monsoon climate zone, with distinct seasons and a pleasant climate.
Formation History: Lashi Hai was originally part of the ancient geosyncline in northwestern Yunnan. It has undergone multiple geological movements to form the current intermontane basin on the plateau.

II. Natural Scenery
Lakes and Wetlands: Lashi Hai is a typical plateau lake with crystal clear water that allows the bottom to be seen. The lake surface is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and the surrounding lush mountains, offering an extremely beautiful landscape.
Biodiversity: The wetland ecosystem of Lashi Hai is characteristic of plateau wetlands, with a relatively complete structure and rich and unique biodiversity. It has recorded 566 species of plants, 326 species of animals, and 236 species of birds (including 96 species of waterfowl listed in the Chinese Waterbird List), among which 36 species are protected at national levels I and II.

Migratory Birds: Lashi Hai is located on the western migratory bird route in China, serving as a wintering ground and a key migration corridor for many migratory birds. Every winter, about 100,000 migratory birds winter here, making it one of the important wintering areas for migratory waterfowl in China.
Natural Scenery: Surrounded by mountains, Lashi Hai wetland features emerald waters, blue skies, snow-capped mountains, forests, and expansive meadows, creating a unique and vibrant natural landscape.





The Lashi Sea area regularly holds various ethnic festival activities, including the Rural Grand Stage, Hand-catching Fish in Rice Fields, Village Football Matches, and Peach Picking Season, allowing tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery while immersing themselves in a rich cultural atmosphere.
